The 2020/21 season is in the books – so it’s a good opportunity to take a look back at some of the statistical leaders for FC Augsburg. In part six of the series, we look at the club's best passers. A defender and a midfielder lead the way when it comes to pass accuracy.
Augsburg's best passer of the ball last season was Felix Uduokhai. The defender completed 86.75% of his attempted passes, enough to move up from third place last season (86.7%) to claim top spot.
Carlos Gruezo, who had the best passing accuracy in 2019/20 as a new arrival in Augsburg, winds up in second this time around. The 26-year-old completed 83.8% of passes.
Jeffrey Gouweleeuw was also secure in possession last season with a passing accuracy of 82.91%, putting the FCA captain third in the list. Rounding out the top four is Daniel Caligiuri, who had a 75.8% pass success rate to go with his six goals and five assists.
