FCA visit Halleschen FC in the DFB-Pokal

FC Augsburg will face Hallescher FC in the first round of the 2025/26 DFB-Pokal. Athlete Owen Ansah performed the draw that decided FCA’s opponent at the German Football Museum in Dortmund.

Last season, HFC finished second in the fourth division and qualified for the DFB-Pokal by winning the regional cup in Saxony-Anhalt with a 1-0 win over Lok Stendal. The fourth-tier club will therefore pose as the first competitive opposition of the 2025/26 season for new head coach Sandro Wagner and his team.

First-round ties will be played on the weekend spanning the 15th to 18th August 2025. Exact dates of the matches are yet to be confirmed.
