Chrislain Matsima’s U21 European Championship campaign began on Wednesday evening as France faced Portugal in Slovakia.
FC Augsburg centre-back Chrislain Matsima, taking part in his first U21 European Championship, captained his side and played 90 minutes. Portugal failed to take their chances and France then missed an opportunity to win it late on, meaning it ended 0-0 in Trenčín.
France will now be hoping to win their next game on Saturday, 14th June (21:00 CEST) against Georgia, who currently top Group C with three points.
