FCA to play Crystal Palace and Sunderland in friendly fixtures

In preparation for the 2025/26 Bundesliga season, FC Augsburg have scheduled two hotly anticipated friendly matches against a pair of Premier League sides. As part of FCA’s summer training camp in Kollerschlag (Austria), the Függerstädter will face newly-crowned FA Cup winners Crystal Palace. A few days later, Sandro Wagner’s team will host AFC Sunderland on Family Day at the WWK ARENA.
On Friday, 1st August, Bad Wimsbach will host a showdown with Crystal Palace, who are led by former Bundesliga head coach Oliver Glasner. The contest at the HF-Stadion will consist of two 90-minute periods with kick-offs scheduled for 16:00 and 18:00 CEST. The London-based club finished the previous Premier League season in 12th place but caused an upset in winning a first FA Cup title in club history when they defeated Manchester City in the final.
Facing Sunderland on Family Day at the WWK ARENA
Saturday, 9 August, marks Family Day at the WWK ARENA. The sporting highlight of the event is set to be a friendly match against AFC Sunderland, who earned promotion back to the Premier League last term after several years away. The Black Cats beat Sheffield United at Wembley in the Championship Play-Off Final to secure their comeback to top flight of English football.
