…the upcoming start to the season: “Now, the regular season is underway – that was a topic of discussion for the whole team today. Pre-season is over, and this weekend, things kick off. As you’d expect, everyone is itching to get started.”
…DFB-Pokal opponents, Energie Cottbus: “They’re full of beans, deservedly achieved promotion to the 2. Bundesliga and have the backing of the whole region. Having already played two league games is always a big advantage. For us, they’re a great opponent to have as they will really put us to the test. It’ll be a great battle that we’ll have to take in our stride.”
…the meaning of the DFB-Pokal: “The DFB-Pokal is important for us. Of course, we want to get as far as we can in this tournament – after all, that’s exactly why we’re competing. Our goal is to head home feeling good, that is to say: We want to win.”
