Winther defeats Turkey, Gregoritsch loses to Denmark

The final games of this international break have been played. While Frederik Winther had reason to be happy, Michael Gregoritsch was on the losing side.
Frederik Winther and Denmark U21s still have a chance of qualifying for next year’s European Championship. They defeated Turkey 3-2 in their last group match to finish second. The FCA defender once again played the full game. The Danes will now compete in the play-offs in September as they look to make the tournament in Romania and Georgia in 2023.
FCA’s top goalscorer Michael Gregoritsch and Austria lost their fourth Nations League group game 2-0 in Denmark. He came off the bench in the 65th minute. Their next match is away to defending champions France on 22nd September.
