Schmid: “We will give everything to get the points!”

On Saturday 23rd February (15:30 CET), FC Augsburg will travel to SC Freiburg. FCA player Jonathan Schmid is looking forward to the game against his former club. After training, the 28-year-old spoke to us about... ...the game against his former club: “I am looking forward to the game against my former team. Admittedly, I am not in contact with them anymore, but the stadium and the atmosphere there, I always found somewhat special. It will be a difficult game, but it is important for us, that we take all three points. Therefore, we need to give everything.” ...his role in the team this season: “It is football. Either you play or you don’t play. You should never let your head drop and instead have to always give it your best. As a footballer, you know that you will get a chance and when it comes, you have to use it.” ...his favourite position: “My favourite position is on the pitch. It is not so important for me where I play, as long as I get to help the team. That is my primary aim.” ...on his two freekick goals this season: “I know, that I can score freekicks and so I don’t need extra training for them. If I feel good, then I shoot. This season they’ve gone in and so I will continue to shoot.”
