Performance tests kick off pre-season preparations

Pre-season is officially underway. FC Augsburg's first-team squad reported back on Thursday as preparations for the new campaign officially began.
The players started with a series of athletic and neurological performance tests, carried out both inside and out on the training pitch. New signings Calvin Brackelmann and Faik Sakar took part, while Augsburg's players involved at this summer's World Cup have yet to return.

The first session with the ball is scheduled for Monday, 13th July, at 14:30 CEST. Supporters are warmly invited to attend the open training session and watch the team up close. Further public sessions are planned over the following days before FCA play their first pre-season friendly against a select Swabian XI at the Rosenaustadion on Saturday, 18th July (14:00 CEST).
