12 FCA players called up for international duty
Rieder and Gharbi called up, Kömur unavailable
After two Bundesliga matchdays, the first international break of the season has arrived. The following FCA players have been called up to represent their nations over the next two weeks.
As well as Finn Dahmen, who has been included in Julian Nagelsmann’s senior Germany squad for the first time, Anton Kade will too be swapping his FC Augsburg jersey for that of the national team as he answers his first call-up to the Germany U21s. Mert Kömür is no longer available for the side after breaking his toe, having previously been selected before sustaining the injury.
Summer signings Ismaël Gharbi (Tunisia) and Fabian Rieder (Switzerland) are also set for international action this September, while Dimitris Giannoulis is unable to perform international duties in this break due to a muscular injury. Noahkai Banks will also be hoping to make his senior international debut after being named in the USA squad. Mert Kömür is no longer available after breaking his toe
