FC Augsburg and Karlsruher SC have agreed a deal over the transfer of Kilian Jakob. The defender will leave FCA to join the second tier side for an undisclosed fee.

“Kylian Jakob came to us expressing his desire to leave, and we did not stand in his way. It’s important for a young player like him to play as much as possible and we couldn’t guarantee regular playing time. We wish him success as he continues his footballing journey,” said Stefan Reuter, sporting director.

Jakob came to FC Augsburg from TSV 1860 München in the summer of 2017. He appeared once in the Bundesliga and 47 times for the U23s in the Regionalliga Bayern.
