Vargas and Switzerland start Nations League campaign with defeat

Ruben Vargas and Switzerland had to suffer a defeat in their opening Nations League match, losing 2-1 to the Czech Republic on Thursday evening.
The Czechs took an early lead through Jan Kuchta (11'), before Noah Okafor equalised just before the break (44'). After the change of ends, the 'Nati' were unlucky to concede an own goal through Frankfurt's Djibril Sow (58'). Vargas was in the starting line-up and was subbed off in the closing minutes of the match.
On Sunday (20:45 CEST), Vargas will be back in action as Switzerland travel to take on Portugal.
