Gregoritsch, Vargas and Bénes
After the 2-0 defeat to SC Freiburg, the Bundesliga takes a few weeks off. Three Augsburg players will be on duty for their countries during the international break.
Michael Gregoritsch’s Austria will take on Scotland (Thursday, 25th March) and Denmark (Wednesday, 31st March) in World Cup qualifying. Originally, Gregoritsch had been unable to travel to Scotland, but Great Britain is no longer considered to be a country with high-risk variants of the coronavirus and so he has now been given the green light by the authorities.
Ruben Vargas and Switzerland take on Bulgaria (25th March), Lithuania (28th March) and Finland (31st March). László Bénes and Slovakia have an away day in Cyprus on Wednesday, 24th March. Bénes won’t, however, play in either of his country’s two home games since Slovakia is considered to be an area with dangerous variants of the virus.
