The international break is behind us and FC Augsburg can look forward to the return of Bundesliga football. FCA host Eintracht Frankfurt in the WWK ARENA on Saturday, 24th November (15:30 CET). Ahead of the match, both FCA lead coach Manuel Baum and full-back Philipp Max are optimistic for the match. FCA head coach Manuel Baum has a few injured players in his squad following the international break. “Jan Moravek has been ruled out of the match. Andre Hahn, Alfred Finnbogason, Felix Götze and Fabian Giefer are all doubts.” However, Baum certainly doesn’t have any worries about his squad. “We possess a lot of quality in the squad and won’t encounter any problems with these injuries in the squad. If Finnbogason is unable to play on Saturday, we have plenty of players fit who I have full trust in to deliver. Players in contention include Julian Schieber, Dong-Won Ji, Sergio Córdova, Marco Richter and Michael Gregoritsch.” Forthcoming opponents Eintracht Frankfurt are currently in good form. However, FCA defender Philipp Max is looking forward to the challenge. “It will be a difficult task. We have already shown so far this season that we can take on any team in the Bundesliga. We are well prepared to face our opponents!” His coach also knows Frankfurt’s strengths: “Frankfurt are tough opponents especially in attack. They have played well up to this point so far this season. They deserve to be where they are in the Bundesliga table.” Despite some strong performances in recent matches, FC Augsburg have been missing the piece of luck needed to take victories from the matches. Philipp Max wants to turn the tables: “We want to reward ourselves for the effort we put in each week. We have put a super week of training behind us and want to secure all three points!”
