Six games, six wins for FCA players on international duty
Essende bags winning goal
All six FCA players on international duty were on the winning side in the first round of fixtures.
Cédric Zesiger came on in the 62nd minute in Switzerland’s 4-2 win over Mexico. He played a role in their second goal, though FCA’s defender did look to have been in an offside position.
Dimitris Giannoulis played the full 90 minutes for Greece as they beat Slovakia 4-1. He impressed down the left side.
Samuel Essende scored the only goal of the game for the Democratic Republic of Congo in their victory over Mali. FCA’s striker came off in the 70th minute.
Kristijan Jakić didn’t feature in Croatia’s 7-0 win over San Marino in a World Cup qualifier.
Elvis Rexhbecaj started in Kosovo’s 5-2 victory over Armenia in a friendly and came off in the 62nd minute.
Chrislain Matsima captained France U21s in their final friendly before the European Championship. The centre-back played the full 90 minutes in a 2-1 win against Uzbekistan.
