Hahn: “We have to concentrate on ourselves”

First Team 02.05.2019, 16:54
The season is gradually coming to an end and the big goal of avoiding relegation is within reach. FC Augsburg and André Hahn are aiming to claim some important points against FC Schalke 04 (13:30 CEST) on Sunday 5th May. This season has not always been easy and there have been some turbulent phases on the way for FC Augsburg. Partly because the team have not been able to perform to their best for the full 90 minutes and partly due to the amount of injuries. However, FCA did not give up and with three games left are in 14th with 31 points, seven points away from relegation. The aim is avoiding relegation and André Hahn wants to get it done this Sunday against Schalke: “We have resolved a lot of things and have everything in our own hands. We can make sure we stay up this week. We now want to get as many points as possible and maybe climb the table too.” Avoiding relegation André Hahn only wants to focus on his team and ignore what the other teams do: “I don’t want to give any thoughts to how many games we can afford to lose or draw. We have to just concentrate on our own game and the rest doesn’t matter.” FCA will face a Schalke team who are fresh from beating their rivals Borussia Dortmund last weekend. André Hahn however, is excited for the upcoming challenge and is ready for the away game: “It is always nice to play in Schalke. I find that they have a good team and are motivated to get more points. It will be a fun but intense game.”
