Austrian returns home
After three-and-a-half-years at Augsburg, Georg Teigl has left the club and returned to his home country of Austria. The 29-year-old will play for top-flight side FK Austria Vienna.
"We would like to thank Georg for what he has done for FCA. We wish him all the best with his new club back in his home country,” said FC Augsburg’s business director, Stefan Reuter. Teigl joined the club from RasenBallsport Leipzig in the summer of 2016 and spent six months on loan at Eintracht Braunschweig in 2018. He played a total of 27 Bundesliga matches for FCA.
"I am looking forward to the challenge ahead of me. I can’t wait to get started and play those first few games for my new team,” said Teigl. “I am especially happy to be able to join the club that I love, Austria Vienna. I have wanted to be a regular starter for a while now.”
