Finn Dahmen sees contract extended until 2027
As a result of 50th competitive appearance for FCA
Away to Leverkusen last time out, Finn Dahmen stood between the sticks for the 50th time in a competitive fixture with FCA and in doing so reached the mark for appearances which sees the 27-year-old’s contract automatically extended by a further year until 30th June 2027.
Dahmen, who made the switch to FC Augsburg on a free transfer during summer 2023, has featured 16 times in the Bundesliga this season, conceding just 10 goals and keeping a clean sheet on nine separate occasions. The 27-year-old also boasts a league-high Goalkeeper Efficiency of 85%. Due to his impressive displays, Dahmen finds himself on the radar of the Germany national squad, while also being eligible to play for England.
I am really pleased that my contract has been extended by a further year as well as with my role in the team and current form. I am excited for everything to come. My aim is to carry on steadily developing and to achieve the greatest success possible with FCA,” reported Finn Dahmen.
FCA sporting director Marinko Jurendic: “Finn has risen to be recognised as one of the best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga thanks to his impressive performances over the course of this season. His consistently strong displays have played a major part in our defensive stability and successful campaign to this point. Therefore, we are really pleased that his contract has been automatically extended, meaning Finn remains an important component in the foundation of this team.”
