Fellhauer released from hospital after clash of heads
FCA’s summer signing suffers concussion
In the 96th minute of the game between FC Augsburg and FC Bayern München, there was a serious clash of heads between Robin Fellhauer and Bayern’s Sacha Boey.
Fellhauer was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher and was taken to hospital, where he stayed overnight for further observation. He has since been discharged.
“Robin has a bad concussion and small facial fractures. He’s doing well considering the circumstances and is fortunate to not need surgery,” explained FC Augsburg CEO Michael Ströll on Sunday morning. “We wish him all the best.”
It is not yet clear how long Fellhauer will be sidelined for.
