Franz Xaver Bleicher loaned to SG Sonnenhof Großaspach

FC Augsburg have agreed to send academy product Franz Xaver Bleicher to SG Sonnenhof Großaspach on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old is hoping to gather valuable match practice with the 3. Liga side.
The defensive midfielder has been at FCA since the U10s, signing a professional contract at the club in autumn 2025. He featured for the club's U19s and U23s last season. Most recently, Bleicher was part of the squad for several first-team friendlies during pre-season, in addition to featuring in two Regionalliga games for the FCA U23s (1 goal).
SG Sonnenhof Großaspach won promotion to the 3. Liga from the Regionalliga Südwest last season, and have won one of their first two games in the division this term.
