FCA to begin pre-season training on 13th July

FC Augsburg have finalised their pre-season plans in preparation for the 2026/27 season. The players will first undergo performance tests and medical checks, before taking to the pitch in their first pre-season training session on Monday, 13th July at 14:30 CEST at the WWK ARENA.
They will then contest their first pre-season friendly on Saturday, 18th July at 14:00 CEST at the Rosenaustadion against a selection of players from Schwaben Augsburg. Further details on this match will be released in due course.
A week later, on Saturday, 25th July, FCA will take on third-division side 1. FC Saarbrücken at the Parkstadion Kaufbeuren at 14:00 CEST.
Their third pre-season friendly sees them take on Premier League side AFC Bournemouth on Thursday, 30th July at the Saalfeden Arena in Austria. Kick-off is set for 16:00 CEST.
Training camp, Family Day and a trip to England
Head coach Manuel Baum’s side will then head to training camp in Achenkirch, Austria from 1st to 8th August. While there, the team will face SC Schwaz in a friendly at the Silberstadt Arena on Wednesday, 5th August at 19:00 CEST. The team’s training sessions will be open to the public, allowing all the travelling FCA fans to attend. The team will end training camp with a Family Day friendly against US Sassuolo at the WWK ARENA on Saturday, 8th August at 15:30 CEST.
FCA’s final pre-season friendly will take place a week before the competitive season gets underway, as they take on Leeds United at Elland Road in England. The match against the Premier League side will take place on Saturday, 15th August at 16:00 CEST.
