After three matchdays, the international break is back. Seven Augsburg players will represent their countries.
Michael Gregoritsch and Austria will face Greece in a friendly on Wednesday (7th October), before games against Northern Ireland (Sunday 11th October) and Romania (Wednesday 14th October) in the Nations League. Ruben Vargas’ Switzerland have a friendly against Croatia on Wednesday before Europa League fixtures against Spain (Saturday 10th October) and Germany (Tuesday 13th October).
Alfred Finnbogason can take a big step towards Euro 2021 with Iceland as they face Romania in the semi-finals of the play-offs (Thursday 8th October). Iceland will then play two Nations League fixtures in Denmark (11th October) and Belgium (14th October). Fredrik Jensen will be in action for Finland on Wednesday, as they face Poland. On 11th October they will play Bulgaria before facing Ireland on 14th October.
Tomáš Koubek and Czech Republic will face off against Cyprus in a friendly on Wednesday, before Nations League fixtures against Israel (11th October) and Scotland (14th October). Robert Gumny and Poland U21 have two European Championship qualification fixtures: against Serbia (Friday 9th October) and Bulgaria (Sunday 11th October).
Carlos Gruezo was substituted during the match against Wolfsburg with thigh and ankle problems. However, he was still called up by the Ecuadorian FA for their fixtures against Argentina (8th October) and Uruguay (13th October) and will join up with his national team to undergo medical checks.
