First Team 27.05.2022, 10:18

Despite the Bundesliga season coming to an end, there are still international fixtures to be played in June. Six FCA first-team players have been called up to their respective national team squads.

The UEFA Nations League kicks off again this June. FCA’s top goalscorer in 2021/22, Michael Gregoritsch, and Austria are set to face World Cup finalists Croatia (3rd June), World champions France (10th June) and will play Denmark twice (6th and 13th June), which could see Gregoritsch face teammate Mads Pedersen, who has been selected in Denmark’s initial 29-man squad. As well as the two matches against Austria, Denmark also have to face France (3rd June) and Croatia (10th June).

Ruben Vargas and Switzerland’s UEFA Nations League campaign also begins in June. Their first match sees them travel to the Czech Republic (2nd June) before they go to Portugal (5th June) and then have two home matches vs. Spain (9th June) and Portugal again (12th June).

Robert Gumny and Poland have some tricky matches coming up. Their Nations League group sees them face Wales (1st June) before an away game in Belgium (8th June). Following this come two more matches, one in the Netherlands (11th June) and another at home to Belgium once again (14th June).

Frederik Winther and Denmark U21s have three important U21 EURO qualifiers coming up. They’re still fighting for a place in the finals, and face Kazakhstan (4th June), Scotland (10th June) and Turkey as the qualifying group phase draws to a dramatic close.

Carlos Gruezo and Ecuador, who qualified for the World Cup in Qatar, have three international friendlies to play during the international break. All three matches against Nigeria (2nd June), Mexico (5th June) and Mali (11th June) will take place in the USA.
