The 2021/22 season has come to an end and it’s a good opportunity to look back at FCA’s most impressive statistics. In part three of our review, we’re going into detail on the players with the most assists.
Arne Maier tops the assist charts, having set up seven goals. It wasn’t until matchday seven when the midfielder set up his first goal in FCA colours, but Maier found his stride afterwards. His most recent assist came in the 2-1 victory over Fürth when he set up Michael Gregoritsch’s winning goal.
Florian Niederlechner and Iago share second place with five assists. The Brazilian dangerous from the flanks and put the opposition under pressure with his crosses.
In joint-third place are André Hahn, Daniel Caligiuri and Ruben Vargas, who each have three assists to their name. Penalties won also count as assists, such as Caligiuri’s in Bochum.
