David Dreo signs long-term contract with FCA
Pro deal until 2029
FC Augsburg remain committed to developing young talent and have tied down another homegrown player on a long-term deal: U23 striker David Dreo has signed a contract until 2029.
The 19-year-old joined the Fuggerstädter in the winter of 2023 and scored four goals in his first six months with the U17s. Across two seasons with the U19s, the Serbian made 49 league appearances and demonstrated his finishing ability with 19 goals.
This season, Dreo has featured for the U23s in the Regionalliga Bayern in 16 of their 18 competitive matches. In addition, the forward has already gained his first minutes with the senior side in friendlies.
“David has already shown glimpses of his potential and brings strong physical attributes as well as a positive mentality. We’re looking forward to continuing on this path together,” said FC Augsburg sporting director Benni Weber.
David Dreo added: “I’m proud to be able to play for FCA. My aim is to develop as much as possible. I’m very grateful to the club for the trust and support on my journey.”
