Alfred Finnbogason breaks club record
FCA forward Alfred Finnbogason broke a club record with his hat-trick against Freiburg. The Icelander has now scored the most Bundesliga goals for the club with 25.
Alfred Finnbogason delighted FCA fans with his excellent hat-trick in the game against SC Freiburg. The 29-year-old striker calmly netted three in the game and took his tally to 25 for Augsburg in the Bundesliga, eclipsing the previous record of 23 from Tobias Werner. In third place is Ja-Cheol Koo, along with Raúl Bobadilla, who both have 21 goals for Augsburg in the Bundesliga.
“I was extremely excited for this game and trained very well beforehand,” said a sprightly Finnbogason after the match. “I didn’t put any pressure on myself and was just happy to be back on the pitch. Of course I am proud to have broken the record. I spoke to Tobias Werner and he was very happy for me.”
