11 FCA stars called up for international duty

Rieder vs. Rexhbecaj, Dardari against Dahmen

First Team 10.11.2025, 11:00

Following the conclusion of Bundesliga action on matchday 10 of the current campaign, the final international break of the season is now upon us. No fewer than eleven FC Augsburg players have been called away to represent their national sides.

The third international break of the 2025/26 season is here, and interestingly for fans of FCA, we will see two duals between Augsburg players on the world stage: Finn Dahmen, who has once again been called up to head coach Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad, will come up against Luxembourg in a World Cup qualifier, a national team featuring Aiman Dardari in their ranks. Fabian Rieder (Switzerland) and Elvis Rexhbecaj (Kosovo) are also set to face off in qualifying Group B.

After having been forced to withdraw from the Germany U21 squad last month due to injury, Anton Kade will be joining Mert Kömür in representing the youth team, after both bright talents were nominated last week. Samuel Essende will be hoping to take a step forward on the road to the World Cup, while Elias Saad and Ismaël Gharbi can each look forward to a series of friendly matches over the coming two weeks.
