Shortly after, Switzerland increased their lead after Marvin Lang was played in by Xherdan Shaqiri and scored. However, in the 81st minute, Alfred Finnbogason scored an absolute worldy; a screamer from 20 metres out. Iceland were unable to find an equaliser in the remaining minutes of the game.
