Nediljko Labrović signed his contract with FCA while preparing for the 2024 European Championship in Germany with the Croatian national team. There he briefly left the European Championship quarters in Neuruppin (Brandenburg) and made the journey to Augsburg, where he successfully passed his medical check.
The 1.96-metre goalkeeper moved to the Fuggerstadt from Croatian runners-up HNK Rijeka and signed a long-term contract until June 30, 2029. In the previous season, he kept 18 clean sheets in 35 league games. “In Nediljko Labrović, FCA has signed a talented goalkeeper who is physically robust, has good dynamics and already has a high level of playing experience despite his young age,” explained FCA sporting director Marinko Jurendic after the signing.
