FC Augsburg are set to debut their new home shirt for the 2025/26 season this weekend, with the club launching their new look as part of the final home game of the season for first time in their Bundesliga history. Head coach Jess Thorup's side will don their new home kit for the first time at the WWK ARENA on Saturday, 17th May (15:30 CEST), as they host 1. FC Union Berlin on the final matchday of the season.

"Our colours, your design"

The new home shirt is the result of a months-long creative process. In January 2024, the club launched a contest titled 'Our colours, your design,' through which fans had the opportunity to submit their own shirt design. The response was overwhelming, with the club receiving more than 2,500 submissions from over 20 countries. An 11-person jury was responsible for narrowing the submissions down to seven finalists, after which FCA members were given the exclusive opportunity to vote for the winner. Nearly 5,000 votes were tallied, with Antonio Herrero's design declared the winner after receiving 37% of the vote. Antonio, a 39-year-old Spaniard, has been a fan of FC Augsburg and the Bundesliga for several years, and will be at the game against Union Berlin to watch as 'his' shirt makes its debut on the pitch.

The club would like to thank its supplier, Mizuno, for their support in making this project a reality, in addition to actively contributing to the design process.

The design contest, which our fans actively took part in, proved to be immensely popular. Presenting our new home shirt

The shirt is primarily white with a red and green sash running diagonally across the front. The left side of the shirt features the famous Augsburg pine cone motif also found in the club's badge, while FCA's founding year of 1907 is printed on the shirt's collar, symbolising the deep connections between the club and the city. The collar and the sleeve cuffs are both red, providing a stylish and contrasting aspect to the design. The shirts will be printed with 'FC Augsburg' on the back using the club's bespoke font for the first time, adding a further custom touch to the design.

Available online from Thursday

The new home shirt is available to purchase from the club's online shop. Fans will be able to purchase the shirt from the fan shops at the WWK ARENA and on Maximilianstraße from Friday, 16th May during regular opening hours. The shirt will also be available to purchase at various stands around the stadium ahead of the game against Union Berlin.

The shirt will be available in sizes S to 4XL for €89.95. Kids' sizes are also available (116 to 164) and cost €69.95. Women's (XS to XL, €89.95), toddler (92 to 110, €64.95) and baby sizes (62 to 80, €54.95) will be available to purchase at a later date.
