Ribeiro: "We have to keep putting the work in"

Rodrigo Ribeiro has been an FC Augsburg player since January. He initially arrived on loan from Sporting CP before FCA activated their option to buy him shortly after the end of the season. The 21-year-old Portuguese forward is now at his first summer training camp with the club and spoke about…

…life at the training camp: "It’s been great. Spending this much time together helps us get to know one another better, particularly the new players, both on and off the pitch. It also gives us the chance to make progress individually while building an even stronger bond as a team. That will be really important going into the new season."

…his first few months with FCA: "Playing in the Bundesliga and testing yourself at this level is a brilliant feeling. I’ve settled in well, and we had a good second half of the season as a team. We have to keep putting the work in now so that we can achieve our targets again next season."

…playing alongside FCA’s other forwards: "The key is to make the most of the different qualities we all bring. There’s still plenty I can learn from Michael Gregoritsch, for example. His eye for goal is especially impressive. He has a real knack for knowing where the ball will be and how to finish the chance."

…his ambitions: "My full attention is on our training camp for now. I want to contribute as much as I can and will give everything to help the team. We need to keep learning, keep working on our game and make steady progress."

…the city of Augsburg: "I live fairly close to the city centre and feel very much at home. What I particularly like is that you have everything a city offers but also plenty of green spaces."
