Oliver Sorg returns to Austria

Oliver Sorg is heading back to his home country and has joined Austrian Bundesliga side SV Ried. The 18-year-old full-back has signed a contract in Ried until 30th June 2029. The clubs have agreed not to disclose the details of the transfer fee.
The Austria U19 international joined FCA from Sturm Graz in July 2025. Last season, Sorg was named in the Red-Green-Whites’ Bundesliga squad once, on matchday 15, but was an unused substitute in the 0-0 draw with Werder Bremen. He mainly featured for the U23s in the Regionalliga Bayern, making 25 appearances and registering one goal and one assist, while also playing six times for the U19s.
