FCA unveil new 2022/23 kits with local connection

Ahead of their first pre-season friendly against TSV Schwaben Augsburg (28th June, 19:00 CEST), FC Augsburg have unveiled their new line-up of kits for the 2022/23 season. The shirts combine the official colours of the club and the city with FCA’s long tradition as a club.
The 2022/23 home shirt features the colours red, green and white. Not only are these the official club colours, they are also the official colours of the city of Augsburg. The main colour of the shirt is red, while green and white horizontal stripes round off the design. Numbers and player names are printed on the shirt in white. Script reading “rot-grün-weiß” (red-green-white) is printed on the back of the shirt under the collar.
FCA’s new away shirt will once again be white. A pattern of thin, horizontal red stripes adorns the sleeves of the shirt, while numbers and player names will be printed in red. The back of the shirt includes the Latin words “Augusta Vindelicorum” under the collar, which refers to the city of Augsburg. The highlight of the shirt is the Augsburg skyline on the front, which drives home the club’s connection to the city and will serve as a reminder of home, even during the club’s upcoming away games.

The trio is rounded off by the grey alternate jersey which features black sleeves. The kit, which offers an alternative colour option, is based on the façades of the club building at the WWK ARENA and the facility at the youth training centre. The shirt number and the player and club names on the back of the shirt are printed in black, while the FCA logo sports a monochrome look.
As in previous years, FCA will not be increasing the price of the kit. The kit will still cost €74.95 for adults and €54.95 children. The home and alternative jerseys will be available from Monday 4th July (10:00 CEST) at the FCA 1907 Store (Bahnhofstraße 7) and online. The white away jersey will be available slightly later on Friday 22nd July.
