

Matsima called up for U21 EUROs
Overview of FCA players on international duty
Even after FC Augsburg’s final competitive fixture of the season, a number of squad members will have their campaigns extended by the latest international break. Chrislain Matsima has some particularly significant matches on the horizon.
FCA’s centre-back has been called up by the France national team for the upcoming European U21 Championship in Slovakia. A final friendly contest against Uzbekistan has been pencilled in as preparation ahead of tournament, during which the young French side will clash with Portugal, Georgia and Poland.
Before Sandro Wagner officially begins in his tenure as new head coach of FC Augsburg, the 37-year-old will serve as assistant coach to the Germany senior national team for the UEFA Nations League final tournament, as the last four teams battle it out for the trophy. Germany take on Portugal at the semi-final stage on Wednesday, 4th June, in Munich with the intention of reaching the final on Sunday, 8th June, also set to take place at the Allianz Arena.
