Mads Pedersen joins Hertha BSC
Dane departs after 120 competitive appearances for FCA
Mads Pedersen has left FC Augsburg to join second-tier Hertha BSC with immediate effect. The transfer fee is undisclosed.
The 29-year-old Dane joined FCA from FC Nordsjaelland ahead of the 2019/20 season. Aside from a six-month spell on loan at FC Zurich, Pedersen spent seven years in Augsburg, making a total of 120 competitive appearances. He scored four goals and provided four assists for the Fuggerstädter. Pedersen featured seven times in the Bundesliga in each of the past two seasons, playing around 200 minutes in both campaigns.
“Mads wanted a new challenge in order to get more playing time again. We’d like to thank him for his time with FCA and wish him all the best for the rest of his career,” said FCA sporting director Benni Weber.
Mads Pedersen said: “I’m grateful for my seven years at FCA. My family and I have always felt very much at home in Augsburg. Now the time has come for us to start a new chapter. I wish everyone at the club and all the fans all the very best for the future.”
