Dominant FCA score 15 against SC Schwaz

FC Augsburg eased to a 15-0 victory in their friendly away to SC Schwaz. Despite some demanding training sessions in recent days, head coach Manuel Baum’s side showed few signs of fatigue against the lower-league opposition.

As in the previous friendlies, Manuel Baum fielded two different teams, making ten changes at half time. Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, Dimitris Dimoulas, Sima Suso and Alexis Claude-Maurice, who are all training individually, were not involved. Finn Dahmen also sat out the game and is set to start in goal against US Sassuolo on Saturday.

Ogundu sets FCA on their way

FCA were in complete control from the outset against the Austrian side, who play in the country’s third tier. Uchenna Ogundu (6’, 19’, 37’), Michael Gregoritsch (9’), Robin Fellhauer (21’, 39’), Thomas Kastanaras (29’) and Noahkai Banks (32’) struck eight goals before the break.

The Fuggerstädter continued to dominate proceedings after the restart. Anton Kade (52’, 57’), Marius Wolf (68’, 70’), Rodrigo Ribeiro (78’), Hennes Behrens (82’) and Nathanaël Mbuku (87’) added another seven goals to complete the 15-0 victory.

After several days of hard work, the players will have a day off from training tomorrow. Following the team’s return from Achenkirch, their next friendly will be held at the WWK ARENA on Saturday, 8th August (15:30 CEST), when they host Italian top-flight side US Sassuolo.
