FC Augsburg will be without Jeffrey Gouweleeuw for a number of weeks after suffering a medial collateral ligament tear in his right knee.
The captain underwent examinations following his enforced substitution in Saturday's defeat to 1. FSV Mainz 05 to confirm his diagnosis.
