FC Augsburg 1907 GmbH & Co. KGaA has a new supervisory board member. Former FCA player Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker is the latest addition to the board of directors and will be active in this voluntary role from now on.

“I’m thankful for the trust the club has placed in me. I am delighted to still be part of the club as a member of the supervisory board now my playing time is over and I hope my years of experience as a player will be of some help,” said Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker.

“We’re very pleased that Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker will remain connected to the club and will be involved in FCA alongside his responsibilities with the Germany academy.  He really made a name for himself as a player here and his commitment and experience will serve our club well,” said FCA President Klaus Hofmann.

Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker joined Augsburg in January 2011 and celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga just a half a year later. The 35-year-old made a total of 150 competitive appearances for FCA and scored 13 goals. His playing career came to an end in summer 2019 and he began working with the Germany youth academy, where he helped set up the ‘Neuro Athletics’ branch of the Innovation and Development department.
