Hahn: "We have a difficult task ahead of us!"

First Team 11.10.2018, 15:48
André Hahn is back at FC Augsburg after spending time at Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hamburger SV. The 28 year old has made a good start to the season with one goal and three assists in his first seven games since rejoining the club. During the international break, Hahn is training hard ahead of FCA’s retro matchday against RB Leipzig on Saturday, 20th October (15:30 CEST). After completing a training session on Wednesday with the rest of the squad, André Hahn participated in an additional training session focused on attacking with young FCA midfielder Romario Roesch and goalkeeper Benjamin Leneis. He reflected on his assist in Dortmund on Saturday, a cross that unexpectedly fell perfectly for Philipp Max to smash home to give FCA a 2-1 lead: “Of course I saw Philipp Max in the distance and I put in a good cross across the box. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to,” jokes Hahn. Regarding his personal overview, “I feel good and have returned to a good level of fitness. Of course there is more to do but you can see statistically that I am giving everything that I have in every match and I’m running until I can give nothing more. This is a characteristic I believe exists throughout FC Augsburg. The club stands for heart and passion and I feel at ease here.” FC Augsburg’s opponents on their retro matchday, to celebrate exactly 111 years of the club, will be RB Leipzig who will provide tough opponents for FCA. “Leipzig have extremely fast players, who are strong in possession. It will certainly be a difficult challenge and we will have to give 110%. However have already taken on other strong teams like Leipzig and refused to let our opponents settle into the match.” Hahn is particularly excited ahead of the retro matchday. “It will be a brilliant day for everyone but especially the fans. The numerous events taking place on matchday will help make this retro matchday one of the highlights of our season. We want to rewards the fans for their incredible support with a home victory.”
