Michael Gregoritsch and Austria warmed up for the European Championship with a goalless draw against Slovakia on Sunday. Fredrik Jensen and Carlos Gruezo both suffered defeats on Friday.

In the end, it was goalless between Austria and Slovakia on Sunday. Michael Gregoritsch was subbed on late in the game, as was Lázló Bénes, recently on loan at Augsburg for the last six months.

On Friday, Fredrik Jensen and Finland lost 1-0 to Estonia. Rauno Sappinen scored the only goal of the game right before the hour mark (59’). Jensen was a half-time substitute but was unable to turn the game in his side’s favour.

Carlos Gruezo’s Ecuador team also came away empty-handed from their fixture, a World Cup qualifier against Brazil. “La Tri" lost 2-0, though they remain good for third place in the standings. Richarlison (65’) and Neymar (90’+4) scored as the Selecao maintained their perfect record in qualifying. Gruezo played the full 90 minutes for Ecuador.

It was a happier weekend for Frederik Winther, who beat Ireland 1-0 with Denmark U21s.  Emil Frederiksen (31’) scored the winner while Winther himself came on around the hour mark.
