FCA fans can look forward to a number of Saturday afternoon games in August. The DFL announced the schedule for the first seven matchdays of the 2022/23 Bundesliga season on Friday. Four of FCA’s first seven matches are on a Saturday afternoon.
Enrico Maaßen’s first Bundesliga game in charge will be against SC Freiburg on Saturday, 6th August at 15:30 CEST in the WWK Arena. The following three games, away to Leverkusen (13th August), at home to 1. FSV Mainz 05 (20th August) and away to Hoffenheim (27th August), are all on a Saturday at 15:30 CEST.
Matchday 5 sees FCA host Hertha BSC on Sunday, 4th September (15:30 CEST), before a trip to SV Werder Bremen on Friday, 9th September (20:30 CEST). The final match scheduled is the visit of FC Bayern on Saturday, 17th September (15:30 CEST).
