FCA sign Juma Bah on loan from Manchester City

FC Augsburg have reinforced their centre-back ranks once again by securing the services of Juma Bah. The 20-year-old Sierra Leone international has joined FCA on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy from Manchester City. The clubs have agreed not to disclose further details relating to the move.
Bah, who will wear the number 35 for FCA, joined English heavyweights Manchester City in January 2025. However, the defender amassed a lot of experience at the top level of European football in Ligue 1 during loan stints at RC Lens and OGC Nice. Over the course of a-year-and-a-half at Lens and Nice, the 6’4” centre-back made 51 competitive appearances. Bah also played seven times for the Sierra Leone national team in that time.
“Following Keven Schlotterbeck’s move, it was important for us that we make a conceited effort to strengthen in the centre-back department. In Juma, we have signed a talented player who suits us very well in terms of his size, physicality and abilities. He brings a lot of experience at a young age and valuable minutes playing at the highest level of European football. We’re convinced that he will be able to take the next step at FCA, and we’re looking forward to having him here,” said FCA sporting director Benni Weber.

That’s why this move is the right next step for me. Having the chance to play in a strong league like the Bundesliga also means a lot to me.
