Contract until 2030

First Team 14.07.2026, 15:00

FC Augsburg have completed the signing of Germany youth international goalkeeper Tom Wisbereit. The 18-year-old joins FCA on a free transfer and has signed a contract until 30th June 2030.

Wisbereit represents Germany at U19 level and was part of the squad that finished runners-up at the recent UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Wales. Born in Berlin, he began his career at BFC Dynamo before moving to 1. FC Union Berlin. He made 21 appearances for Union’s U19s last season and was also named in a first-team squad three times during the closing weeks of the campaign.

“We are delighted that Tom has chosen to join FCA. Tom is only 18, but he already has experience with Germany’s U19s and, at 1.95m, has the physical profile of a hugely exciting goalkeeping prospect. Regular training with the first team and playing time in the fourth division will give him the ideal environment here to continue his development,” said FCA sporting director Benni Weber.

Tom Wisbereit said: “My talks with FCA were very positive from the outset. I quickly realised that the club have a clear plan for me and can offer me an excellent pathway for my continued development. I want to make the most of this opportunity, improve every day and take the next step in my career here.”
