FCA players on international duty

FCA have made their best start to a Bundesliga season, taking four points from their opening two games. The first international break of the season is upon us and six Augsburg players will feature for their national teams. Homegrown talent Marco Richter has received his first Germany U21s call up ahead of their friendly against Mexico (Friday, 7th September in Fürth) and European qualifier away in Ireland (Tuesday 11th September). Stefan Kuntz’s side are top of Group E with 16 points from 7 games in qualifying for next year’s European Championship in Italy and San Marino. Opponents Ireland are second on 13 points having played one game less than Germany. Martin Hinteregger and Michael Gregoritsch have been called up to the Austria squad for their friendly against Sweden (Thursday, 6th September) and their opening UEFA Nations League clash against Bosnia & Herzegovina (Tuesday, 11th September). Austria have been placed in League B for the new competition. Kevin Danso has also received a call up to the Austria U21s squad for their European qualifiers at home to Armenia (Friday, 7th September) and away in Gibraltar (Tuesday, 11th September). Austria are currently in third place in Group G as they attempt to qualify for next year’s tournament. Dong-Won Ji will travel to South Korea to join the national squad for their two upcoming friendlies. The Taeguek Warriors will face Costa Rica on Friday, 7th September in Goyang before hosting Chile on Tuesday 11th September in Suwon. Sergio Córdova also has a lot of travelling ahead of him as he has been included in the Venezuela squad for their two friendlies. La Vinotinto will firstly face Colombia on Friday, 7th September in Miami, USA, before travelling to Panama on Tuesday, 11th September.
