New arrival from Lech Poznan
FC Augsburg have made another summer signing, with Poland U21 international Robert Gumny joining from Lech Poznan for an undisclosed fee. The full-back has signed a deal at FCA until 30th June 2025.
“We’re delighted that we’ve been able to bring in a very young and talented right-back in Robert Gumny,” said FCA sporting director Stefan Reuter. “We’re thoroughly convinced that he will help us reach our goals over the coming years.”
“I’m delighted that FC Augsburg have given me the chance to prove myself in the Bundesliga,” said Gumny. “I’m looking forward to this new challenge and want to repay the faith put in me with performances out on the pitch. This is a big step in my career.“
The 22-year-old Pole made his debut in the Polish top flight as a 17-year-old, going on to make a total of 84 Ekstraklasa appearances. He has also worked his way through the national team youth setup from U17 level and has already been named in several senior Poland squads.
