Callsen-Bracker is staying at Augsburg

Whilst Halil Altintop chose not to extend his contract with FCA,  defender Jan Ingwer Callsen-Bracker has signed a contract extension keeping him at Augsburg until June 2018. "I'm looking forward to another year at FCA. I will continue to give everything, in order to help the team have a successful season," said the 32-year-old, who has been at Augsburg since January 2011. "It's impressive how Jan has fought his way back from a bad injury. I was pleased that he was able to return to the side towards the end of last season and can now complete a full pre-season programme," said sporting director Stefan Reuter. "With his desire and professionalism, he'll be a key part of our team in the coming season."
