Teigl: Nothing is older than last weekend’s success“

First Team 12.03.2019, 18:55
After a hard-fought point in Leipzig, Georg Teigl is ready for the home game against Hannover 96 on Saturday, 16th March (15:30 CET). The Austrian is excited for the upcoming games after appearing in the last two in a row. Despite taking points against two top teams in the last two weeks, Manuel Baum’s side is fully focused for the game against Hannover. Georg Teigl, who featured against Dortmund and his former club Leipzig, is also excited for the game on Saturday: “The game against Hannover is another six-pointer and we need to bring our values onto the pitch again. Our performance levels cannot drop just because we have two good games. We will carry on taking things game-by-game, week-by-week. Nothing is older than last weekend’s success. We have to forget the past and now concentrate on what’s to come. Teigl take his chance The 28-year-old came on early as a sub against Dortmund after Kostas Stafylidis had to be taken off with an injury. He then started the game in Leipzig, fully taking his opportunity: “I worked hard for this chance and never gave up. Obviously I’m really happy to have played two games in a row. I went into those games full on confidence and wasn’t really nervous. I’m now looking forward to the coming weeks.”
