Raphael Framberger’s season forced to an end

First Team 27.02.2018, 17:18
FC Augsburg travel back home from Dortmund with a well earned point, but also some tough injury news. Right back Raphael Framberger suffered serious ankle ligament damage in his right ankle in the second half of the game. The 22-year-old will be operated on at the Hessingpark Clinic in Augsburg at some point over the coming days. It means that his season is over and Manuel Baum will have to think of who can fill his spot for the last ten games of the season. “It’s a real shame for Raphael Framberger, who’s been so unlucky with injuries over the last few years. If you know Raphael, however, you’d know that he’s always looking ahead and he’ll get through this period of rehab and come back stronger,” said Stefan Reuter, FCA’s sporting director. “I can’t change anything, the injury has happened now. I hope that the upcoming operation will go well and I can start the rehab process as soon as possible,” Framberger said. “It’ll be a long period of preparation for me to get ready for next season.”
