Martin Hinteregger joins Eintracht Frankfurt on loan
FC Augsburg defender Martin Hinteregger has joined fellow Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt on loan until the end of the season. The two clubs have agreed an undisclosed fee for the loan.
FCA, who had fined the defender and demanded him to train alone and separate from the squad, have agreed to the loan.
“I apologise for the developments that have happened in recent days. However, I think it is best for me to accept a new challenge,” justified the Austrian ahead of the loan move.
“Following Martin Hinteregger’s fine, we held further discussions with him. We currently do not share the same views regarding a quick return to the first time. This is because Martin Hinteregger isn’t ready to accompany FC Augsburg for the forthcoming weeks. Consequently, we agreed to the loan transfer,” said FCA sporting director Stefan Reuter.
