FCA sign Hennes Behrens on long-term deal

FC Augsburg have further strengthened their squad with the signing of Hennes Behrens. The 21-year-old left-back joins FCA from TSG Hoffenheim and has signed a long-term contract until 30th June 2031.
Behrens spent the majority of his youth career at TSG Hoffenheim and also made his Bundesliga debut for the club. He joined 1. FC Heidenheim on loan for the second half of last season, where a series of impressive performances saw him make 16 appearances, including 15 starts, and score one goal. The right-footer primarily operates on the left but is also capable of playing at centre-back. He will wear the number 16 shirt for FCA.
“We’re delighted that Hennes will continue his career at FC Augsburg. Despite his young age, he already has valuable Bundesliga experience and has shown his quality at this level. His physicality and ability on the ball make him a very good fit for our team,” said FCA sporting director Benni Weber.
