Gouweleeuw to remain FCA captain

Before getting the 2026/27 competitive season underway with their first-round DFB-Pokal clash against Energie Cottbus on Saturday (13:30 CEST), FC Augsburg have announced their captains for the upcoming season. Jeffrey Gouweleeuw will continue to wear the armband for FCA, with Finn Dahmen, Fabian Rieder and Keven Schlotterbeck as his vice-captains.
Dahmen and Schlotterbeck have previously filled the role of vice-captain, while this is Rieder's first time being selected for the role.
